At Rest in the Desert
This is a 1/35 scale plastic assembly kit model of the German Steyr Type 1500A/01 with infantry figures in tropical uniforms. The 1500A/01 was fitted with an air-cooled 8-cylinder engine which produced 85hp, and the all wheel drive setup offered great driving performance. The vehicle could accommodate 8 passengers and was used for a wide variety of military roles from the Western frontline through to Russia and North Africa. The reliable engine, which didn’t required engine cooling water, was greatly welcomed by officers and soldiers in North Africa.
